Casa Colon, Luxury Detatched Villa in Nuevo Portil
Casa Colon is a detached Cortijo style villa overlooking the 11th hole of the Nuevo Portil Golf Course. Situated on a quiet street, the villa is set in a private garden with off-street parking, a swimming pool (heated between April-October), Petanque pitch, patio area with comfortable seating and an enclosed courtyard for outside dining. Sandy, unspoilt beaches are within a 15 minute walk as are numerous bars, restaurants and local shops. There is even a small bar within a few minutes’ walk of the villa.
With accommodation for up to 8 people our villa is ideally suited to one large family or two families sharing. Accommodation consists of two double en-suite bedrooms with king size beds, one of which is on the first floor, and two twin bedded rooms sharing a family bathroom.
Nuevo Portil, Huelva, Andalucia
Nuevo Portil is on the Costa de la Luz (coast of light) in Huelva Province, approximately 30 minutes east of the Portuguese border. It is a popular destination for golfers and summer tourists. The unspoilt Atlantic coastline stretches for miles with wide sandy beaches protected by dunes and pine forest. It is a perfect location for a relaxing family holiday or for those wishing to combine lazing around the pool with activities such as golf, cycling or walking. Unlike the Mediterranean coast, this area is not overly hot and stuffy in the summer due to the breeze coming off the Atlantic.
The city of Huelva is 19km from the villa (approximately 20mins by car) and Seville is 111km (80mins).
The local markets around us, particularly the Mercado del Carmen in Huelva, have an amazing array of fresh fruit, veg, meat and especially fish. With ingredients like this on the doorstep, it’s as much fun to stay in the villa as it is to go out.
